The Pickle Project is a 3 month journey where you will meet new people, learn new skills and have a great time. Get involved with an enthusiastic micro community and experience food growth and harvesting, fermenting and selling. The Autumn/Winter cohort make sauerkraut and the Spring/Summer cohort make dill pickles, so choose your intake wisely. At the Pickle Project, we weave food growing, community, education and sustainability seamlessly.
There is a lot that goes into the pickle, from the salt to the cucumber to people you pickle with. This is a lacto-fermented love story between a Jew and a deli, jarred in the brine of time, getting better with age. It is a look into our past and the taste of cultures gone by.
